I obtained my Master degree in Physics from EPF Lausanne after studies in Lausanne, Lyon and St. Petersburg. During my PhD at EPFL (up to 2007) I codeveloped the ultrafast Scanning electron microscopy technique now being commercialized by Attolight. Currently I'm CEO of Attolight, company I founded with Jean Berney in march 2008.

Pierre Strübin is Director of FONGIT, a Geneva based high tech incubator hosting more than 10 companies and vice-chairman of Fongit Seed Invest SA, one of the very few early seed fund. Prior to joining FONGIT, Pierre worked for many years at ABB, IEC and LEM, as a general manager for the component division. Since 1986, Pierre set up different start-ups and is member of many boards. Pierre is an Electrical Engineer and holds an MA in Finance and a MBA in Management. His expertises are in the field of Finance, Project Management and General Management.

He also held some minor stake in different startups, is the founder of SwissStartups.com and the Blog- Camp Switzerland. Dominik has over seven years of experience in online and offline marketing, working for global clients. He was responsible for market different internet communities in Switzerland and the German part of the Swiss initiative «venturelab ».

After having worked in a Swiss leading research company (CSEM), I had the opportunity to work in the area of the assembly technology (Mikron Assembly technologies) and lately for the medical industries (Cochlear acoustics). I founded the company Delta Robotics GmbH in 2007 that acts in the tissue engineering field. Our core development is the develoment of a bioinductive bone graft.

Always fascinated by both business and technology, Stefan Tuchschmid founded his first company www.netpictures.ch to finance his studies of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the ETH Zurich (2001-2005). In 2005, Stefan started his PhD entitled "High Fidelity Surgical Simulator for Hysteroscopy", a project involving 16 researchers from various universities. After the presentation on a medical congress March 2007, it was high time to bring the simulator to the surgeons - VirtaMed was born.

Christian Vögeli received his M.Sc. from ETH Zürich in 2005 for a thesis about Dybuster, for which he was also rewarded the ETH Medal. He worked as a research assistant at ETH and led the user study proving the efficiency of the Dybuster approach for dyslexia therapy. In February 2007 he co-founded Dybuster AG and has been its CEO since, releasing the first product in Mai 2007 and selling 1?200 copies in one year. He was a finalist in TV show ?Start-up? by SF and a Venture Leader 2008.

David Weill is an Engineer in Microtechnology specialised in subcontracting. He has 7 years of know-how in the medical industrial field with 2 industrial and commercial ?success-stories?. Davids major skill is to be able to bring an idea to a reliable serially produced device in the medical field. He went through the overall industrial path from Project Leader, through product manager, R&D Director and ended as CEO. David also worked in the Swiss luxury watch industry. In 2004 he decided to build his own research company and developed the world leading award winning product that is now known under the name of PRECIQUANT. On his free time, when he had some, David loved hiking, skiing, diving, riding his motorbike and setting his home cinema system as he is also a THX certified installer!

I have 15 years of international experience in the life sciences, both in industry and in academic science management. I occupied different management positions in pharmaceutical companies, including Ciba-Geigy/Novartis and Lonza. In 2000 I joined the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne) to establish the School of Life Sciences and served as its first Dean. In 2004 I co-founded Eclosion, the first Swiss life sciences seed-fund and incubator, I also founded Excellgene SA and I am the President of the BioAlps association.
